All Praises are due to Allah
(SWT), the Lord of the heavens and earth, and May Allah abundantly
shower peace and blessings upon the Last and Final Prophet (SAW),
His Noble Companions, His honourable household, and those upon whom
Allah (SWT) has blessed to follow their guidance until the Day of
Judgement.
This is a very critical and yet a
very crucial question, that is compulsory and obligatory upon each
and every individual, regardless of what scope in life, to deeply
ponder upon.
Where is Allah (SWT), our Creator
and the One who has full grasp and control of our own bodies,
our life, and the whole of this universe?
In order to understand this
legitimately, flawlessly and correctly it is binding upon us to
reflect upon the following verse from the Holy Quran:

Alhamdu lillahi
rabbi alAAalameen
All the praises and thanks
be to Allāh, the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind,
jinns and all that exists). (1:2)
What we learn and may determine
from the above verse is that all our praises and thanks are to the
One who is the Lord of the 'Aalamin, which consists of the whole of
this universe, and each and everything that exists.
It is crucial to note that the
word used in this verse is "Rub" however we cannot find a word in
the English language which may correctly translate this word,
without leaving any of the meanings that it encompasses. Therefore,
the word "Rub" which translates in the English language as "Lord",
includes the following extensive meanings which are:
The Only Planner of the whole of
this universe, it's creator, Owner, Maintainer, Organizer, Provider,
Master, Cherisher and the Full Sustainer and giver of security. This
exquisite word "Rub" is also one of the names of Allah (SWT).
Therefore, upon understanding
this crucial meaning and with the vast research in our technological
age, we realize the fact that it is only Allah (SWT) who is the
Caretaker, Planner, and Cherisher of this universe.
Verily, it is He who has
developed us from the most worthless water, semen, in the mother's
womb. It is He who has allowed us to develop so accurately and
precisely, that verily this body that has been given to us, requires
to maintained by a perfect and delicate chemical balance. Each and
every breath that we inhale and exhale in this life is by the mercy,
will, and decree of the Lord, the Rub of A'alamin, of all of that
which exists. The Lord who runs the strict, delicate, and immensely
balanced system of this universe. We must ponder upon ourselves,
this world and the very universe that surround us on a constant
basis. This is crucial upon us to realize by purifying our hearts,
opening our very minds, and living this understanding out with the
very limbs and organs of our bodies.
The Lord, the Rub of the A'alamin
says in the following verse of the Holy Quran:

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the
alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of
understanding.
Day by day, each and every
individual witnesses sunrise and sunset, regardless if he may even
be blind! How crucial is this creation of Lord of the A'aalamin,
that without sunlight life would never sustain.
One who may be so narrow minded
would think that why is it even worthy for us to mention the
creation of the sun, while it is travelling at immense speed of
720,000 kilometres per hour! Verily, this sun is nothing but a dot
in the whole of this universe, whereupon there are billions upon
billions of stars. For verily, if all of the grains of sand were to
be collected in all of the beaches of this world, there are more
stars, or individual, suns in the universe.
It is incumbent upon us to
realize where our Lord, the Lord of this very earth, sun, and all of
the stars is. We must deeply contemplate and study the facts from
the sources of our glorious faith.
It is crucial for us to
contemplate upon the fact, that if one were to inquire with any
individual about where the Lord is, regardless of the religion that
this individual may belong to, that individual will point towards
the sky. This is crucial to realize, that it is embedded in our very
instinct to realize where the Lord of A'alamin is.
Regardless of our faith, we
constantly witness the precious controls, powers, and mercy of the
Lord, the Rub, Allah (SWT) on a second to second, minute to minute,
day by day, and for the rest of our lives.
This is why Allah (SWT) has
stated in the Holy Qur'an:
This is why Allah's Beloved
Messenger (SAW) once stated, "Do not you trust me while I am trusted
by the One (Allah) above the heaven?"
Our noble Prophet, the Best of
all examples, after mentioning how crucial it is to exhort one
another with mercy, he (SAW) reminds us of the facts by stating,
"Show mercy to those on the earth so that the One above the heaven
(i.e. Allah) will show mercy to you."
It is absolutely mandatory upon
us to correct our understanding where our Lord is. We find that many
today are unaware of this fact, and simply when they are asked such
a question, remain puzzled and entirely speechless.
We must strictly comprehend and
deeply grasp the impeccable and correct understanding of who our
Lord is, Where He (SWT) is, and what are His Powers and Controls
upon us.
Once a slave girl came to Allah's
Messenger (SAW) and she was asked by our Prophet, "Where is Allah?".
She replied "above the heavens". He (SAW) then asked her "Who am
I?", she replied "you are the Messenger of Allah." He then stated
without any doubt "Free her from slavery, she is Believer."
It is mandatory upon us to
realize the fact that by knowing and understanding the attributes of
Allah (SWT), our Noble and Beloved Prophet (SAW) freed her, and
further honoured her by declaring her to be one of those believers,
especially during a period that was full mostly of believers.
In order for us to comprehend of
the fact of how can we considered believers in the eyes of Allah
(SWT). The only way for us to do so, is for us to know, learn, and
realize who Allah (SWT) is, and where and what are his attributes.
We must first understand our Lord
the way He has ordained upon us to understand Him, through His Noble
Book, the Holy Qur'an, and through the guidance's of our Beloved and
Noble Prophet Muhammed (SAW).
We must then on a consistent
basis, deeply comprehend upon the miraculous systems of our bodies
and it's precious organs, this very world and its immense vastness,
and the great universe that surrounds us.
The day that this ummah strictly
guards and we correctly apprehend the tauhid, the oneness of Allah,
that is the day that we will be those who are successful, who are
near and of those earn the pleasure of Allah (SWT).
May Allah (SWT) abundantly shower
His peace and blessings upon his last and final Prophet, the noble
companions, and those who have been honoured to follow their
guidance until the Day of Judgement. |
